29032007-2245

Here's my latest SongFight! entry it's a collaboration with Charlie aka Paco del Stinko and it's called 'King Me' recorded under the name 'Eggsickle' and I think it's fabulous (but I'm biased!) the lyrical composition was co-written, the bass, drums and synths are me, and the vocals, backing vocals, Rhythm and lead guitars are all Charlie!
The guy is simply awesome!!

SongFight! CoverFight! WishList!
This is a series of links to my attempts at producing cover versions of other more popular and gifted songfighters works, this all came about as a result of a SideFight! organised by 'Ken' whereby we selected one song of our own and matched that song up with all interested parties who were then selected at random and had somthing like a month to produce a cover version of the song they were allocated, after the whole thing was completed many songfighters published their lists, so I decided to why the hell not have a go at covering everything that these fine chaps wanted me to cover, enough waffle on with the links...

25032007-1415

Okay, on Friday night I travelled into London with my step-daughter and her boyfriend to see a band called 'Carpetburn' the band's frontman is a guy called Pete, but who likes to go by the name 'Pedro' or 'Furrypedro'. Anyway I've had some contact with him before as he also competes on a regular basis over at SongFight! submitting under the names 'Carpetburn' and 'Those Meddling Kids'.
So as you can imagine it was a real thrill to actually get to meet him and the rest of the band, and I have to say you couldn't meet a friendlier chap, real down to earth type and not at all pretentious, and shock, horror, probe, they were pretty damned excellent live to boot!
So if you get a chance to see them live (they generally play around the Chatham area, but do venture into London every now and then) then I would surely recommend making the effort and say "Hi" to Pete and tell them spOOn sent you...

19032007-2015

Okay this next bit is a touch technical (for me anyway) my friend Chris (also know as Billy's Little Trip) a fine musician and jolly decent chap wanted to know what process I go through to make my (so-called) music! so the image on the right is a pictoral example for him to use in cojunction with a PM I sent him earlier, so if you're not him then ignore this and if you are then I hope this makes thing easier to understand...

God I really do go on don't I!

18032007-2015

Well it seems that there's a hold up with posting the new songs over at SongFight! so I decided to upload some cover art for the 'Gray Rainbow' fight to see if that makes a difference... (shown right, obviously!)

Also I'm hoping to spend the next week working on a collaboration with Paco del Stinko for the following weeks song title (when it gets released!) which should be really interesting.

This will be my last project before I go to PerĂº for three weeks, although I am thinking of making several of my FAWM tracks available to either the Vocaloid User Group or TuneFlow or maybe even both! I'll see if I can find a couple that are worthy.

11032007-2000

As always work was crap yesterday, but then no surprise there! found this cool site on the internet today though which definately needs checking out...
That jiggling guy on the right with the headphones is me as a Meez, I just think that's really cool, but then as the old saying goes "little things please little minds".

09032007-2100

Okay I'm back to work tomorrow morning as I'm feeling lots better, I guess though I've really taken advantage of being off work as I've pretty much finished next weeks SongFight! entry which I'm posting here, just in case anybody comes this way and feels like listening to something that may or may not spoil their day...

Well it's Friday morning and the SongFight! gods have deemed my submission worthy for inclusion in the latest fight 'Couldn't Have Been Worse' submitted under the pseudonym '5900-n5'. I originally read this as 'It Couldn't Have Been Much Worse' which is basically what my tracks called, anyway check this out and the multitude of much better stuff over at SongFight! by following this link...

Couldn't Have Been...

In futher news, Yesterday evening I uploaded my 'It Belongs To Me' track to my Tuneflow account and it's now available to preview and if you're feeling brave to buy! and this is the link for that...

I have my blood test results today and I also have to have my jabs for my forthcoming trip to the Peruvian Jungle throughout April, expect photos and more deposited here sometime during May!

Okay last but not least, I went to the National Hockey Stadium last night, and no, not to see the bloody MK Dons! I went to see the England Women's Football team take on the Russian Ladies, it was a resounding 6-0 victory for the three lionesses (I think that's the correct terminology!) in the first of three warm up games before they fly off to the FIFA Women's World Cup later this year in China... Hope they show it on the telly!!

As promised here's the link for my Tuneflow submission 'Attraction', yeah I know I'm super impatient and went ahead and submitted anyway (even though I've still 23 days before the cut off date!)

Moved my web-site from Netfast to Mixiroo last night, because I hadn't been able to access Netfast for over two weeks, everything seemed to go well now this morning when I click on the link, it's as if Mixiroo doesn't exist!
Just goes to show you that there's no free meal ticket available (bloody internet!)

Anyway the upshot of this is, I currently have no active web-site, (I have many web-site's but none of them active).

07032007-2100

Off work today, had a blood test, feeling really lousy, but hey ho! made first draft of possible Tuneflow submission "Attraction" will continue to work on this tomorrow and maybe have a link up and running for the demo as it stands...

Just realised that I've submitted to this week's SongFight! with the wrong title (again!!) oh well I guess I'll just have to wait and see if the admin guys show me a bit of leniency (even though I'm sure JB doesn't like me very much, especially as I keep messing up my submissions)

Got the first of the Marvel Civil War books through the post today - "The Road to Civil War" - it features "New Avengers: Illuminati, Amazing Spider-Man #529-531 and Fantastic Four #536-537" it's a damn good read and I should be recieving "New Avengers/Civil War" next week.
Anybody out there been following Civil War? let me know what you think, was the ending a cop out or do you think there are more surprises in store during 'The Initiative'.
